I was fortunate to join Danielle Shea on her podcast, Healing From Assault. Danielle is a coach for survivors of sexual assault to help them thrive and work through their trauma. What I like about Danielle's show is that she does follow up podcasts with journalling prompts to help with healing.
This was my second podcast and while I think I was a little more coherent than the first one I did with Dave Markel, there are definitely some cringe moments for me. Maybe you won't notice but I sure as hell did. What really freaked me out was when she told me that the session would be on video. We ended up starting a little late so that I could look presentable and allow me to try to fix my hair, which was obviously a fail.
But I really enjoyed my time with Danielle, she helped me to feel comfortable to tell our story. Her approach to providing survivors a platform to share and help others is a gift. I definitely encourage you to check out not just this episode but her show and her website. She offers some terrific resources for survivors.
